flame: basically a extremely rude letter with nothing that even helps the author improve. Flames are usually badly written and chocked full of Internet slang. For example, Telling someone to do the world a favor and stop writing.

GEN: General. fan fiction of a general nature and usually safe for all age groups to read
HET: Heterosexual. fan fiction that features either implied or bluntly portrays a heterosexual relationship between two or more characters
HIATUS: A break or interruption in the continuity of a work, series, action, etc
IC: In Character. where characters are portrayed in the usual context
Lemon: term referring to scenes containing graphic sexual content
Lime: term referring to scenes containing sexual inferences or sexual behavior without the graphic sexual content
Mary Sue: a negative reference to a female character commonly used by beginning writers in their Fan-fiction. most times, the "Mary-Sue" is based upon the author. she is unusually perfect and more advanced, also befriends or becomes romantically entangled with the author's favorite character/characters from the series. because she is more superior than the other characters in the work, she mainly becomes the focus of the fan fiction, thus ruining whatever the fan fiction was about
NCS: Non-Consensual Sex.
OC: Original Character.
OFC: Original Female Character.
OMC: Original Male Character.
OOC: Out of Character. characters that are displayed in ways incongruous with their roles on the series
OVA/OAV: Original Video Action/Original Action Video. direct release of movie/series to video

What I don't like in Fan Fiction and things I KNOW about an Anime:

1. A character being OOC when the writer doesn't say the character is going to be, just because they don't like the Character. Like with Relena, she is an evolving character. Fans don't seem to like her because of her first impression. She is viewed often as a crazed fan girl. As she clings to Heero, more figuratively than literally. So a lot of times they make her act like a crazed fan girl. When she's much more refined, sweet, kind-hearted, determined, caring, with a heavy burden on her shoulders, etc…' NOR is Kuwabara as stupid as writers like to think…Nor do I think he is as ugly as a lot of people say he is. But that's my opinion. There couldn't be a series without him. So don't OOC the character unless the change in character goes with the plot. Or you look like an ASS!

2. In Japan, Youko is called a Kitsune Youkai and is 1,000+ years old. In a Fan Fiction, Youko is usually called a fox demon. But he isn't called that in the Translation, he's called a spirit fox. It was also mentioned that Youko is 300+ years old. Which wouldn't exactly be incorrect because the + attached to the 300 would include any amount of numbers after it. Did that occur to anyone else?

3. Hiei is a half Fire Demon, half Ice Apparition(demon). He is a forbidden child because he was borne male from an ice apparition(demon). Because the koorime on the floating island are all female that are able to self-reproduce. They raise their young to hate males. They are kind of like amazons in that aspect, I guess. Oh Yeah! Yukina and Hiei are Twins.

4. Self-Insertion does not mean you, the Author insert yourself. It is for the Reader to insert themselves as the Character.

5. Almost everyone who writes Yuusuke into stories, seems to write him as a complete and utter moron who never uses his brain. They'll write him always pounding on Kuwabara and acting like a complete dumb ass. I support Yuusuke as a character. He may not be book smart like Kurama, lets face it no one can be. But when it comes to fighting, especially street fighting, Yuusuke knows what he's doing. He may be brash a lot of the time and rush in before he thinks things over, but ultimately every fight he's fought he's won, sometimes by fluke and outside help, but he does manage to over come tough odds. And I will say this. Yuusuke is stronger than anyone else on the team. No matter who your favorite character is for whatever reasons you have. Yuusuke is still the strongest in shear power. He is an S-class demon, they say this a time or two, while Kurama and Hiei are both A-class. In fact Hiei started out as a low level C-class. If ya don't believe me, go back to the beginning of the Sensui arc where Genkai had the boys trapped in the weird mansion. Hiei demands to know what his status was when he started and was angered that he was only a middle ranged demon, even though he had managed to make it up to B-class, before his fight with Sensui. After Yuusuke's death Hiei's power arises to A-class. Youko, however, in his true form, used to be an A-class demon and when he died his power fell. By the time he fights against Sensui he is back up to A and stronger than Hiei as he is on the verge of S-class.

6. I really don't like character bashing. Sometimes its funny but, often it's not.

7. a + denotes romantic love or the mostly nonphysical expressions of it, it's love without the stripping of your mate's clothing ...hmm... As such, R+1 would signal that Relena likes/loves Heero...but for the most part isn't getting action. b x denotes the more physical side of a relationship. 1x4 would signify that Heero is indulging in carnal arts(sex) with Quatre and that Heero is the more aggressive of the two... (See definitions of seme and uke) c Also the order of the pair matters. 1+R and 1xR would mean that Heero's the one who is more overtly in love or more willing to display this love. Though to those who find Heero to be emotionless, would unlikely believe it to be so.

8. Shuichi is the combined life experiences of Shuichi and Youko. The name Kurama is meant to keep his human life, safe and separated. From those who would use and abuse this knowledge. Being called Kurama keeps a tie to his life as Youko, but separated as well. Leaving a veil of Questions. The tie to Shuichi was only suppose to be known to those he told of his human life. Idunn Box is used on Kurama during the Dark Tournament in his fight against Ura Urashima. Ura Urashima uses the Idunn Box to reverse him in age until he wouldn't be a threat. When it was used Ura Urashima hadn't expected to deal with Youko Kurama. It had reversed him so far Youko hadn't lived as a human yet. Later Kurama uses the Idunn Box, in his fight against Karasu.

9. Kurama=Youko+Shuichi Youkoemon/Demon Soul Shuichi=Human/Human Soul Two Souls in One Body. This is a different way I see Kurama.

10. Kagome is the year of the Dog. The year of the OX 1997 is the year Inuyasha is first set in, it was her fifteenth birthday. Her birth year was 1982, the Year of the Dog. To get that I subtracted her age from the year. On her Birthday, Kagome gets pull down the well on her family's shrine by a Centipede demon, into feudal era Japan 1497 the Snake, 500 years ago. By subtracting 500 from the current year, 1997. There she finds that the stories her grandpa told her about the Shikon no Tama were true and that she is the reincarnation of the priestess that protected the Jewel. Who died 50 years before.
So the year is 50 years before 1497, the year of the Hare 1447. The Priestess Kikyo, was 18 when she died. To get the year she was born subtract the age she was when she died from the year that she died 1447. Kikyo-san year of birth is 1429. Kikyo-san is the year of the Rooster.

I am the person who feels guilty because I think I could be a much better person if I did not have to always deal with society hating me.

I am the man who stopped attending church, not because I don't believe, but because they closed their doors to my kind.

1 Gay marriage is not natural, and as Americans, we always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and liposuction.
2 Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.
3 Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.
4 Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.
5 Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Brittany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.
6 Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.
7 Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.
8 Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.
9 Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.
10 Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans...
